With deep cleanings and soft tissue diode lasers, we provide comfortable and long-lasting results. Experience less bleeding, swelling, tissue damage, and discomfort, and enjoy a fast recovery.

Effective Removal of Diseased Tissue and Bacteria

Our hygienists use hand instruments, ultrasonic scalers, and soft tissue lasers to gently remove diseased tissue and bacteria that cause gum disease. Laser Gum Disease Treatment offers benefits such as minimal bleeding, little swelling, fast recovery, and reduced discomfort.

Eliminating Bacteria with Arestin Antibiotic

Arestin is a prescription antibiotic used to help eliminate bacteria that has collected in gum pockets and can’t be easily reached. After scaling and planning, Arestin is placed directly in the deeper pockets. Over a period of days, the antibiotic dissolves and kills the bacteria collected in the pocket.

Preventing Severe Gum Disease and Health Issues

When plaque has been building up too long without any treatment, the threat to your teeth is much more acute. It can destroy bone that holds the teeth as well as surrounding soft tissue. Severe gum disease is also associated with other health issues, such as heart disease, strokes and more.

Find answers to commonly asked questions about cleaning and gum diseases.

How often should I get a dental cleaning?

We recommend a cleaning every six months to maintain good oral health. However, if you have gum disease or other oral health issues, more frequent cleanings may be advised.

What’s the difference between a regular cleaning and a deep cleaning?

A regular cleaning (prophylaxis) focuses on removing plaque and tartar from above the gum line. A deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) goes beneath the gum line to remove tartar and bacteria from the tooth roots, especially for patients with gum disease.

Is a deep cleaning painful?

Deep cleaning is typically performed under local anesthesia, so you won’t feel pain during the procedure. You may experience some soreness or sensitivity afterward, but this usually subsides within a few days. The full healing of the gums can take several weeks. Follow-up care and good oral hygiene are essential for proper healing

What are the early signs of gum disease?

Early signs of gum disease, also known as gingivitis, include red, swollen, or bleeding gums. If untreated, it can progress to periodontitis, which can cause tooth loss and damage to the bone supporting your teeth.

Can gum disease be reversed?

In its early stages (gingivitis), gum disease can be reversed with proper treatment and improved oral hygiene. However, advanced gum disease (periodontitis) can only be managed, not fully cured, but treatments can prevent it from worsening.
