Guided implant surgery

A surgical guide is often created using state-of-the-art implant planning software. The surgical guide is positioned over the gums during surgery to guide the implants into the most ideal position. This makes the surgery quick, safe and predictable. It also significantly reduces the risk for nerve damage, sinus perforation and arterial damage.

Extractions, bone grafting and sinus augmentation

Where extractions are needed, Dr. Bonin removes the tooth very carefully so as to preserve the shape of the socket and to minimize damage to the surrounding bone and gums. He can immediately place the implant into the empty tooth socket.
If teeth have been missing for a long time, you will have experienced bone loss. In the first year after extraction or tooth loss, 25% of the bone is lost to bone resorption, and the bone loss continues from there. If there is not sufficient bone to support the dental implant, our doctors will perform a bone graft procedure to augment the bone.

Your comfort is important

We provide a variety of amenities to keep you comfortable throughout the dental implant procedure. Along with the right amount of local anesthesia to keep you out of any pain, we can also offer oral sedation to keep you relaxed, if needed. However, many patients find they do not need oral sedation. Our in-house specialists are very good at walking patients through the procedure making sure you understand and feel comfortable.

High-quality new teeth

After your dental implant has been placed, our doctor will put on a functional temporary restoration (a crown, bridge or denture, depending on the procedure) while the implant is healing. Healing usually takes about three to four months. Once your dental implant has fully integrated with your jaw, you will receive your final restoration. Our replacement teeth are fabricated from high-grade materials by our excellent lab, ensuring an aesthetic and natural-looking finish. We use lifelike, aesthetic porcelain or porcelain over zirconia for strength and beauty.
